What is Unity?

"Unity is a link in the great educational movement inaugurated by Jesus Christ; our objective is to discern the Truth in Christianity and prove it. The Truth that we teach is not new, neither do we claim special revelations or discovery of new religious principles. Our purpose is to help and teach humanity to use and prove the eternal Truth taught by the Master."  Charles Fillmore, Co-founder of Unity

Unity is a gathering place for people of all walks of life. It's an invitation to explore and celebrate the concept of love and acceptance. It means oneness, harmony with each other, acceptance of our differences. It is to be alive to life, true to your own nature. Unity means to celebrate life with gusto. It is engaging life creatively from the inside out. It is being self-reliant. Unity gives you permission to express yourself, to be awake while you're living, to be alive while you're here. Unity allows you to recover your innate, unique creative sense of self and community.

Unity is a non-denominational spiritual movement founded over 100 years ago by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore-husband and wife. Through the power of prayer, Myrtle was healed of tuberculosis and Charles' crippled leg was healed. Through their prayer work and healing experiences, they formed the Society of Silent Help, now called Silent Unity, and so began the formation of the Unity movement. Out of those humble beginnings came the present day publications of Daily Word and Unity Magazine. These publications have blessed millions of people with their inspirational messages.
